An absolutely lovely hotel. The staff spoke English--very helpful. The room was lovely and extremely comfortable. The location was excellent, the sights were all within walking distance. The breakfast was sumptuous.
The only disappointment was that I had to pay for WiFi.

The room was bright and classic, with all the necessary facilities, and the location was fantastic, close to a garden, restaurant, and a historical monument.

Liked this modern accommodation with immensely pleasant staff in particular a male receptionist who arranged our wine tour. The location was marvellous for walking around a reconstructed 13th-century castle. It took us 10 mins to get to the bus station. Everything was simply well-maintained.

The breakfast was delicious with local bread, the best we had in Beja. the hotel was set in a central area not far from the centre of the old town. - Excellent restaurant and the church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, opposite the castle. - the place was reasonably priced.

The hotel was in a great location in Beja, the room was lovely, breakfast was good, free hotel parking was very convenient. The pool and gardens are really lovely.
The hotel advertises a bar but it isn't permanently staffed and phoning a member of staff to get served took up to 20 minutes.

Very interesting building, but in need of TLC. Location in centre of town, peaceful rooms and pleasant pool area..
Very much in need of refurbishment, walls need repainting, plastering in places. Government need to spend far more money on staffing and general upkeep to maintain this building as it should be ( though I realise financial situation at present).

Unbeatable location
Highly professional and fabulously helpful staff. Just a short walk away from Pulo do Lobo. - the restaurant is very pleasant for dinner and reasonably priced.

The food in the restaurant was exceptional. I would commend all the staff who were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay, would recommend to anyone and would love to return.

We loved our stay there. The hotel being a former convent was had great wide corridors, a great sense of being on your own. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

We close Pousada Beja as our base for our 7 night family holiday to the Alentejo region. Ideally located in the centre of this peaceful historic town with well laid out gardens and a refreshing fresh water swimming pool. Hotel staff were efficient, courteous and knowledgable and the standards of room servicing.cleanliness were very high. The traditional construction and sympathetic conversion of this historic building means that bedrooms remain cool but also benefit from air con and good showers.
